摘要 介绍了3GPP(第三代移动通信伙伴计划)中的OTDOA-IPDL(下行链路空闲周期观测到达时间差)定位方法和AGPS(网络辅助全球定位系统)定位方法及各自的优缺点。深入分析了UMTS(通用移动通信系统)中定位服务架构的实现。指明了该架构设计在实现核心网与接入网分离、保证各种不同定位方法的实施以及未来新的服务与技术在该架构上平滑应用所做的各种努力。详细叙述了UMTS定位服务架构中一般信令操作过程。 In this paper OTDOA-IPDL and AGPS location methods are introduced and their respective advantages and disadvantages are also presented. Location services(LCS) architecture in UMTS is analyzed. The architecture is designed to isolate the core network from the access network, easily accommodate all kinds of cell location techniques, and allow the advance and change in technology. In the end general location services operations and signaling are described in detail.
