On the Combining Education of the Scientific and Human Spirits-The Mission of Ideological and Political Word in the General Plan of "Ruling by Morality

人的现代化是社会现代化的基础和前提 ,而现代化的人又必须具有科学精神和人文精神两方面的素养。从人的现代化需要出发 ,为实现“以德治国”的目标 ,思想政治工作首先应承担起在全社会对所有人进行科学精神和人文精神教育的双重职能。深入研究和大力推进科学精神与人文精神的整合教育 ,必然是思想政治工作的理性选择。

The modernization of human beings is the basis and prerequisite of the modernization of the society. And modernized human beings must have the virtues of both scientific and human spirits. In order to achieve the purpose of 'ruling by morality and according to the necessity of modernization, ideological and political word should take the function of educating all the human beings with the spirits of both science and humanism. A deep study and great promotion in the combining education of both scientific and human spirits is certainly a rational choice of ideological and political work.
