Grain silo is specially design for grain storage so that there are strict requirements in thermal insulation, gas tightness and damp proof. In this paper according to the leakage failures existed in cast in place reinforced concrete spherical roof of squat silo the reasons caused the leakage are analyzed; at the same time the methods to improve the waterproof qualities of cast in place reinforced concrete spherical roof are proposed.
