邓小平理论的两大哲学基础是马克思主义的生产力论和毛泽东思想的实事求是论。然而,要深刻理解邓小平理论的精髓,还必须进一步探讨邓小平辩证法思想的核心,即矛盾兼容法则。邓小平的矛盾兼容法则主要包括社会主要矛盾论、矛盾主次方面论、矛盾性质论和关于矛盾兼容法则前提的思想以及如何正确处理好社会主义历史条件下的几个矛盾关系。
