From Zhang Wentian to Deng Xiaoping:The Theory of "Dual Nature of the Production Relations

2 0世纪 6 0年代 ,张闻天通过对近十年社会主义建设探索中失误的反省 ,结合对马克思主义理论的精细研究 ,提出了“生产关系的两重性”的理论创见 ;而邓小平对待资本主义的态度、发展社会主义市场经济思想与这一理论创见表现出惊人的趋同。可以说 ,前者是后者的理论先导。

In the 1960s,Zhang Wentian put forward the theory of 'Dual Nature of the Production Relations' after reflecting upon the mistakes made during the process of exploring socialist construction in the previous 10 years and his penetrating study into the theory of Marxism. This creative theory shares many similarities with Deng Xiaoping's attitude towards capitalism and his thought on socialist market economy. Therefore, it could be fairly stated that the former serves as a theoretic vanguard of the latter.
