摘要
光双二进制信号的谱宽是传统二进制信号的一半 ,采用双二进制传输比二进制传输色散限制的中继距离可增加一倍 本文对采用传统光接收机的光双二进制传输系统用MATLAB进行了通信仿真 结果表明 :在完全消光条件下 ,10Gb/s双二进制信号在常规单模光纤上传输可达16 0km ,4 0Gb/s双二进制信号在非零色散光纤上为 30km ,均比二进制增加了一倍 ;详细考察了消光比对传输的影响 ,只有消光比大于 2 5dB时 。
The bandwidth of the optical duobinary signal is approximately one half that of the conventional binary IM signal.The transmission distance of the optical duobinary signal due to chromatic dispersion limitation is about twice that of the binary IM signal.In this paper,a dispersion tolerant optical duobinary transmission system is simulated by use of a conventional binary intensity modulation direct detection (IM DD) receiver.In the perfect extinction,a 10 Gb/s optical duobinary signal can be transmimitted over 160 km of the conventional single mode fiber (G.652) and only 30 km over the nonzero dispersion shifted fiber (G.655) for 40 Gb/s optical duobinary signal with 1 dB eye opening penalty.The effect of the finite extinction ratio on optical duobinary transmission system is also considered in detail.It is concluded that the optical duobinary transmission has characteristic superior to that of the conventional binary transmission only if the extinction ratio is more than 25 dB.
