用无瞬心包络法求出螺旋前刀面与砂轮的空间接触线,用圆上的一段圆弧近似代替实际接触线,便可确定砂轮的安装参数,再用反包络法形成所需的螺旋前刀面。从而解决了生产中需要多次试磨的麻烦。

This paper describes how to find the path of contact of the wheel and helix front by envelope with no instantaneous center and how to use an arc on the circle (i.e. wheel) to create the helix front instead of the path of contact to decide on the wheel's setting parameters. The correctness of the above method is demonstrated by reversal envelope. Now no size control by try and error method is needed when sharpening the end mill.
