“三个代表”的本质是执政为民。保持同人民群众的血肉联系是共产党人实践“三个代表”的本质要求 是实现各个历史时期党的奋斗目标的根本保证。在建设社会主义的新的历史时期,我们不能忽视党内和于部队伍中存在的脱离群众的危险。保持同人民群众的血肉联系,要求共产党人要与官僚王义、形式主义和主观主义作斗争 要求共产党员,特别是党的领导干部要切实加强自身修养,在认真改造世界观的基础上,练就加强与群众联系的八个方面的基本功;不断提高马克思主义理论水平;不断提高实际工作能力;塑造真善美的人格,养成民主作风。有克服一切困难的勇气;有识人之眼、用人之胆、客人之量;谦虚谨慎、虚怀若谷;廉洁奉公、艰苦奋斗。
The essence of 'the Three Representations' is to use power for people. Keeping close relations with the working poeple is the essential of our communists practicing 'the Three Representations', and the basic assurance to achieve goals which we are striving for in every historical period in the Party. In the new historical stage of constructing socialism, we cannot ignore the danger of cutting ourselves from the masses in the Party and the cardres. Keeping close relation with the masses requires communists to stmggle with bureaucratism , formalism, and subjectivism. It requires communists , especially the leaders, to reinforce self - improvement, to master the basic skills in the eight aspects of keeping relation with the masses while remolding world outlook; to improve our Marxism theory level; to develop the personality of the true, the good and the beautiful; to form democratic style of work,; to overcome bravely all the difficulties; to have abilities to find out, use and tolerate the talents; to be modest and prudent; to be extremely open - minded; to be honest in performing their official duties and to work hard and perseveringly.
