由于横断山的阻隔,形成了云南封闭半封闭的地理环境,也因此而形成了人文环境中的意识横断,超稳态的文化结构,多民族杂居带来的文化融合,“慢半拍”的生活节奏和观念意识,形成了云南独特的边地生活和边地意识。“民间”不是专指传统农村自然经济为基础的宗法社会,其意义也不在具体的创作题材和创作方法,“民间”所涵盖的意义要广泛得多,它是指一种非权力形态也非知识分子的精英文化形态的文化视界和空间,渗透在作家的写作立场、价值取向、审美风格等方面。从民间吸取生活理想与国家意志所提倡的理想不一样,民间的理想不是外在于现实生活的理想,它是同老百姓在日常生活中所表现出来的乐观主义和对苦难的深刻理解联系在一起。

There is a big difference between the ideal of folk life and the ideal propagated by national will. Far from the ideal of real life, the folk ideal is closely associated with optimism of common people and the deep understanding of miserable life.
