Doctrine Distorted: A Cultural Approach to Nestorianism

景教在中国的失败跟它在中国的传教方式密切相关。其失败原因之一在于 ,以阿罗本为代表的景教士在景教文典的翻译和传播景教的过程中过分依附于“三教”(尤其是佛教 ) 。

Nestorianism's failure in the Tang Dynasty is closely associated with its preaching style.Its failure is because of its relying too much on Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism,especially Buddhism. And their dependency on the local culture causes Christian doctrine distorted.
