A Study of Private Schools in Pre-Qin Period

This paper presents a brief analysis of the characteristics and influences of private schools in Pre-Qin period. Such a kind of education, as a particular organization and a learned group at that time, broke the unification of church and state, and became independent of the imperial court. Meanwhile,its flexibility in management attracted many persons to study. Private schools in Pre-Qin period contributed a lot to the development of the society and played an extremely important part in continuing the traditional Chinese culture .
