As a kind of independent professional activity,competitive intelligence has a history of more than ten years,the competitive intelligence activities both in China and abroad have been deepened and improved either theoretically or in practical applications.The competitive intelligence activities are the supplement and development of the enterprise traditional intelligence work,which will definitely encounter some theoretical and practical problems deserving discussions during the reform progress.This paper carries out a discussion on problems such as concept and function of competitive intelligence,the building framework and mechanism of competitive intelligence system,and the basic methods used in the competitive intelligence research work.
