Acer truncatum Buge is a fine woodyoil,tanning and ornamental plant,with good prospects for economic construction,ecological environment,explitation and utilization.The paper introduces the biologic characteristics of Acer truncatum, and its present situation of development,and slso gives some suitable regions for planting the tree and discusses how to develop and use the tree source in Shanxi Province.
