Expression of Thymidylate Synthase in Gastric Carcinoma and its Clinicopathological Significance

目的 观察胃癌中胸苷酸合酶 (TS)的表达情况及其与患者年龄、性别、分化程度、淋巴结转移及预后的关系 ,探讨 TS的临床病理学意义。 方法 采用免疫组织化学 SP法及计算机图像分析法测定 70例胃癌组织 (每例患者术后均经以 5 -氟尿嘧啶 (5 - FU)为主的化疗 )及 30例正常组织中 TS的表达。 结果 正常胃粘膜 TS水平高于胃癌组织 ,高分化胃癌组的 TS水平高于中低分化组 ,胃癌组织中 TS表达水平与患者的年龄、性别及有否淋巴结转移无关 ;TS低表达组患者的预后优于 TS高表达组。 结论 胃癌组织中 TS表达水平可作为患者对 5 -

Objective To observe the expression of thymidylate synthase(TS) in gastric \{carcinoma\} and its relationships with clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis. Methods TS expression in 70 cases of gastric carcinoma and 30 cases of normal gastric mucosa was assessed by immunohistochemical staining technique and computer imaging analysis technique. Results The expression TS level of in normal gastric mucosa was higher than that in gastric carcinomas. The level of TS in well\|\{differentiated\} gastric carcinomas was higher than that in poor\|differentiated cases. There was an inverse association between the level of tumor TS expression and clinical prognosis. The level of TS showed no correlation with age, sex and lymph node metastases. Conclusion The expression of TS can serve as a 5\|FU\|based chemotherapeutic efficacy index in patients with gastric carcinoma.
