Labour Education: From Tao Xingzhi to Mao Zedong

陶行知和毛泽东都很重视劳动教育 ,把劳动教育当成改造旧教育制度的强劲武器。至今 ,我国教育世界与劳动世界之间的互动仍显动力不足 ,深刻地影响着教育对社会发展的“贡献率” ,因而历史地反思陶行知和毛泽东的劳动教育思想显得十分必要。

Both Tao Xingzhi and Mao Zedong emphasized labour education and took it as a powerful weapon for transforming the old system of education. However, up until today, the interaction between the realm of education and the realm of labour is not dynamic enough and has been profoundly affecting the “rate of contribution” by education to social development. Consequently, it is necessary to reflect, from historical point of view, upon the ideas of labour education of Tao Xingzhi and Mao Zedong.
