After treatment of S 3307 used together with rooting powder (ABT), the water uptake of cuttings of Dendrocalamus brandisii increased and the chlorophyll catabolism decreased; the photosynthetic rate was promoted. The translocation of 14 C photosynthate to cutting base was increased. The rooting rate of cuttings was higher than S 3307 or ABT application alone.
