Two-step throttle, which consists of two orifices, is an effective form to avoid or reduce cavitation damage. Theoretical and experimental researches are exected to investigate the anti-cavitation and wire-drawing characteristics of two-step throttle when using tap water as the working medium. From testing results, it can be concluded that two-step throttle has stronger anti-cavitation ability than single-step one.
