摘要
宏SIMD短向量管理部件是高性能通用微处理器和媒体处理器的重要部件。文章提出一种基于交叉开关的宏SIMD短向量管理部件设计,用于音频、视频和网络通信等多媒体数据处理,克服了传统SIMD体系结构中的数据结构与系统硬件不匹配的问题,满足了下一代高性能计算的要求。
Macro-SIMD short vector functional unit is an im-portant unit for high performance general purpose microproces-sors.A Macro-SIMD short vector functional unit design based on the crossbar switch network is presented in this paper.Thiskind of unit can be used in audio/video and network multimedia data processing,overcoming the mismatch limitations between data structure and system hardware in traditional SIMD archi-tecture and satisfying the high performance computing require-ments.
