新时期西部城镇发展战略初探——以新疆为例

Probe to the Development Strategy of Western Area of Town in the New Times ——A case of Xinjiang

西部地区自然条件较差,经济基础薄弱,城镇发展落后,但在新时期新疆面临新的发展机遇和来自多方面的动力。本文探讨了新疆在西部大开发中的地位和优势,在分析新疆城镇发展的现状和存在问题的基础上提出了在新时期新疆的城镇可持续发展的意见和主要对策。

Worse natural conditions,weak economics basis,and falling behind in towns development are the true status of western area. But Xinjiang has good developing opportunities and motive forces coming from many way in new times. In the article the status and advantages of Xinjiang Province in western development were stated and analyzed. On basis of comprehensively analyzing the present condition and problems of urbanlization development of Xinjiang, some strategies and measures for sustainable development were put forward.
