A Textual Study on the Rhyming System in HU Ceng's Poem

晚唐诗人胡曾的诗作主要以咏史诗为主,影响很大。对胡诗诗韵进行穷尽式调查研究不难发现,胡诗诗韵不但可以映证王力先生考证的晚唐———五代音系的正确性,而且在一定程度上也反映了当时实际语音的面貌。

Hu Ceng was famous in late Tang Dynasty for his great number of historic poems. Based on a thorough review of the rhyming feature in his poems, it is to find that the present paper not only attempts to testify the reliability of Wang Li's study of the phonetic system from late Tang Dynasty to Wudai Dynasty, but also presents the phonetic features of the spoken language of the time. Hu Ceng's poems provide an excellent database for the study of the phonetic system in that time.
