摘要
在一定语境中,语义丰富的名词甚至动词被移作量词,再加之量词内部各类别之间的相互借用,致使量词蕴含着重要的修辞意义。着重分析了英汉量词在突出语言的形象性等五个方面的表意效果,并指出汉语量词在修辞上更具优势。
In certain contexts, some nouns and even verbs that are rich in meaning may serve as quantifiers. This, together with the interchangeability of quantifier categories, results in the fact that quantifiers are of great rhetorical value. This paper highlights the vividness of both English and Chinese quantifiers and demonstrates that the Chinese quantifiers are superior to their English equivalents in rhetorical effect.
