Through analyzing the performance of current search engine, this pap er points out that data gathering based on pull technology is the key factor tha t causes data maintained insufficiently. Then it applies push technology to the designing of search engine architecture, and proposes the search engine model ba sed on push technology. Moreover, this paper analyses the key technologies that affect this model put into practice.
