The overall practice of quality-oriented education poses a new requirement on teachers of every subject. Naturally it requires that the teacher should base his or her teaching on students’ practical level and their specific properties. English teachers should also update their views and try to work out new methods to make it possible for the quality-oriented education to permeate through the English teaching. Students’ thinking should be broadened; their imagination should be enriched to develop a good psychological quality in the students.
