“机器翻译”、“计算机翻译”还是“电子翻译”?

计算机翻译已经走过了 5 0多年的历程 ,但人们还是经常使用术语“机器翻译”而不是“计算机翻译”。本文从历时和共时的角度探讨分析了这种现象及成因 ,提出了使用术语“电子翻译”的依据。

It is over 50 years since computers were put to use for translation and yet,the term machine translation(MT) rather than computer translation is the most frequently used.This paper explores and analyses this phenomenon and as the cause from synchronic and diachronic perspectives and furthermore,puts forward the term electronic or e_translation and gives the reasons as well.
