论“做”字的音

On the pronunciation of the Chinese character zuo(做)

在标注反切的语文工具书中,一般都把"做"字标为"子贺切"。这是一个错误的反切。本文根据现代汉语方言材料,整理和比较了果摄开口一等、遇摄合口一等和宕摄开口一等铎韵的语音对应关系和语音演变规律,并引用《诗经》以来的一些韵文材料,证明"做"字的反切应为"宗祚切",是一个遇摄合口一等暮韵精母字。

The pronunciation of the Chinese character zuo (做) in some dictionaries is marked as zi he qie (子贺切). But, this is not a right fanqie. According to some modern Chinese dialect data, the relation of sound correspondence and the rule of sound change in guo group, yu group and dang group, and cited some data of Shijing (《诗经》) and some other poesies, we proved that the fanqie of zuo is zong zu qie.
