摘要
在传统英语教学课堂 ,由教师控制的句型操练教学及语言表层、句法结构教学 ,被视为唯一的教学目的。除此之外 ,言语所含的文化特色经常被忽略 ,来自不同文化背景的学者遇到操英语的本族人并进行交流时 ,常常会因缺乏共同的社会经历及知识遇到尴尬不语的局面。事实上 。
In traditional English class, it's taken for granted that the controlled exercise, the teaching of forms and morphology of language by the teacher in the classroom through her choice of language is the only way that education can be done. Beyond the structures of the language they use, teachers and learners are not often aware of the cultural nature of their discourse. Learners with different cultural background always found it limited to make sense of the partner's intention with his hard-won language competence, when they are communicating with native speakers, for lack of the common knowledge, social experience. In fact, cultural content is embodied in both the syntax of the language, and its social communicative pattern.
