Comparative Study on Constructivism Teaching Traditional Teaching

文章首先探讨了两种不同的英语教学观--传统教学观和建构主义教学观的基本特征及基本内容,然后对比研究了分别在两种教学观指导下的英语教学实例.研究结论表明,以"学"为中心,强调学习者是信息加工主体的建构主义理论指导下的教学模式,若与现代教育技术手段恰当结合,能具备传统教学许多难以具备的优势.此外,这种教学模式仍需结合传统英语教学中情感因素的作用.

This paper first examines some striking differences between two different viewpoints on teaching, namely, the traditional teaching and constructivism teaching. It continues to conduct a comparative study on two English teaching cases guided by two teaching viewpoints respectively. The research outcome can show that if constructivism, with the learner both as the learning center and as the major information processor, is combined with advanced teaching technology, can bring about many advantages which are quite beyond the traditional teaching. However, constructivism teaching should also pay more attention to emotional factors which have proved to be a sound feature in traditional teaching.
