The fast development of multimedia network technique has opened up a new field for multimedia assisted English teaching. This paper points out it is essential to combine the constructivism theory and modern information technology, which will make the teaching system more reasonable and effective. Based on this opinion, this paper discusses the theories of multimedia assisted English instruction , teaching design and the application of modern educational information technology focusing on multimedia network technique in college English teaching.
