摘要
当前,中国城市社会正处于快速转变之中,迫切改革传统城市规划,以适应发展形势的新变化。文章以温哥华市以及温哥华地区为例,着重介绍了二战以后西方的城市和区域规划改革,包括具体措施和成功经验,并且阐述了作者作为一名西方规划师对中国某些城市和区域规划问题的认识,以期为中国同行提供有益的帮助。
The Chinese urban society has seen rapidtransformation in the past decades, which calls forurgent reform of urban and regional planning to meetthe changes of development. With the VancouverCity and its region as case studies, this paper introducesthe planning reform taking place in the Westernsociety after the World War II, including the detailedmeasures and successful experiences, and sets forththe author’s understanding about the planning issuesin China from a foreign perspective, in hope that theywill be helpful to his Chinese colleagues.
