The chemical measurs used for controlling our environment have increased markedly in the past few years and become now a significant factor affecting the quality of our life. Two very important areas of their application are in medicine and agriculture where excessively and indiscriminately use of drugs and pesticides has often been criticized. However, using controlled release techniques could make the application of bioactive agents safer and more efficient.This article introduces the applications of controlled release techniques in medicine and agriculture,and expounds their bright prospects.
