重庆向航运中心起步

ChongQing Strives for Shipping Hub on the Upper Yangtze River

长江航运是重庆市及西南地区外贸运输的重要方式,是我国“沿海经济带”、“长江流域经济带”和“西部大开发”三大战略实现的重要支持。为此重庆市有关部门制定了《重庆市航运中心发展规划》,投资230多亿元力图在5～10年内,把重庆市建设成通江达海的水运主通道。

Yangtze River, as a. major shipping channel for foreign trade of Chongqing municipality and the Southwest region in China, is a strong support in realizing the three strategies known as 'coastal economic belt', 'Yangtze River economic belt' and the West Development'. Therefore, the relevant departments of Chongqing municipality have mapped out the 'Development Programme for Building Chongqing Shipping Center', an effort to build Chongqing into a major water transportation channel linking inland rivers with the ocean.
