This paper introduces a solution for serial communication between personal computer and 51 single-chip computer,taking Visual Basic 6.0 as developing tool and a self-defined protocol as communication protocol.In the solution,personal computer is the DCE(data control equipment)and single-chip computer is the DTE(data terminal equipment).By the baud of 9600 bps,the communication distance can reach 1200 meters.
