摘要
指出中国人姓名的英译,不是简单地把姓名变换成拼音写出来,其间可能会发生不同文化间的互相冲击、碰撞。通过对中国人姓名音译后的几种书写形式的说明和比较分析,提出中国人姓名的翻译不仅要遵循人名翻译的原则,而且要注重弘扬中国的传统文化。
It is pointed out that the English translation of Chinese names is not simply to change Chinese characters into the Chinese phonetic alphabet(Pinyin)and the cultural shock may take place among different cultures during the transliteration.It is also suggested that not only the translation principles of personal names should be obeyed but also great attention should be attached to carrying forward China's traditional civilization through illustration and analysis of the writing forms of Chinese names after transliteration.
