In this paper,a improved method for Smith prediction controller was studied. A step fiction signal was input to the object controlled.Accoridng to the response signal induced by the step fiction signal,a mathematic model of the estimated object was built using the mathematic model,and the Smith prediction controller can be modified on line.This method overcomes the disadvantage of the control quality due to the model error made by the traditional Smith prediction controller.
