摘要
媒介之于乔伊斯,不仅仅是用来扩大自己文学声誉、获取大众读者市场的重要工具,更是其建构小说情节、表达历史隐喻的重要中介。在媒介视域下,《芬尼根的守灵夜》通过描述媒介技术对人感知方式的重塑,揭示了媒介变迁与人类历史循环进化进程的隐喻关系。小说既从陈词和原型相互转换的维度,探索了文学创新的美学规律;又从创造反环境的角度,揭示了文化传统与艺术家个人才能的关系,以文学的方式启发我们对'文学终结论'的重新思考,具有十分重要的文论价值。
For James Joyce,media is not only an important tool to expand his literary reputation and obtain the mass reader,but also a significant bridge to construct the plots of his novels and express historical metaphors.Under the perspective of media,his famous novel Finnegans Wake reveals the metaphorical relationship between the transition of media and the cyclic process of human history by describing the reshaping of human perception of media technology.The novel explores the aesthetic rules of literary innovation from the point of clichéand architype,reveals the relationship between the cultural tradition and the artist’s personality from the angle of creating anti-environment,and inspires us to rethink the views on the end of literature,thus the encyclopedic novel has a significant literary theoretical value.
