New Service and Standards of Optical Metro Ethernet

The challenge and solution to metro Ethernet services are discussed in this paper, and new optical metro Ethernet services, which defined by Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T) and The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) are introduced. The progress on metro Ethernet standards is also presented.
