The history of start and development of China's car manufacturing industry is reviewed in this paper.Through Summing up the actual level,problems and shortcomings of car manufacturing industry in China,the following countermeasures should be taken if the industry need to have a sustained,rapid and sound development in condition that economic globalization trends are undergoing profound changes:To establish the national innovation system adapting to the situation of our country,set down the industry and consumption policy being propitious to the development of China's car industry,persist the principle that technique assimilation and innovation must be integrated,speed up the regroup of part and component industries facing to the world market,promote the consumption of family cars seizing the opportunity that Chinese people have reached a well off standard of living.
