摘要
本文针对弗罗斯特The Cocoon一诗的曹明伦的汉译提出理性批评,译者对原诗不甚了解,而是估摸浅层词意和语法结构,将原诗由薄雾和炊烟弥散而成的优美意象搅扰成阴霾和浓烟充斥的晦暝场所,以致原诗变得面目全非,不知所云。笔者以一个汉字译一个英语音节的英诗汉译方法,在形式与内涵意蕴上极力忠实准确地传递原诗的风姿艳彩。
This paper makes some comments on a Chinese translated text of The Cocoon by Robert Frost. The translator, Professor Cao, misunderstands the beautiful image of the original poem and twists the fine and elegant scene of the poem into a very black one of haze and smoke. He makes many serious mistakes so that his translated poem distorts the real meaning of the original poem. Here the author proposes a new translation method of the English poetry, that is, one English syllable is changed into one Chinese character with only one syllable. At the same time, he does his best to keep up corresponding between the Chinese and the original both in the structure of sentences and in the meaning of words so as to ensure the reappearances of the rich and bright colors of the original English poem.
