Yan Lianke’s Zha Lie Zhi presents the historical evolution who came up constantly in contemporary Chinese countryside in the form of local history.With an intense expressive force,it depicts a variety of scenes who are extreme exaggerated and absurd during the course of rural urbanization,and in which there interweaves a duration and a gradual decline of memory of the native soil,with changes of the will of the people in process of rural evolution and with a legendary fable of rise and decline in which a countryside is transformed to a city.From this fable,some awareness can be gained in according to the contemporary development in Chinese countryside.
