《割礼忏悔录》是德里达一篇自传色彩浓厚的文本,这篇文章被收录于杰弗里·贝宁顿与德里达本人合作的传记《雅克·德里达》中,全文五十九个小节,暗指德里达五十九年的人生。在排版上,书面的前三分之二是贝宁顿对德里达本人生平及思想的梳理,名为《德里达资料库》,书面剩下的三分之一处则是德里达本人所写的《割礼忏悔》。二者相辅相成,互为脚注。贝宁顿的《德里达资料库》立志于对德里达的思想和各种学说进行体系化的统筹和整理,形成一个明白晓畅,方便读者查询和解读的文本。而德里达却用晦涩的语言,发散的叙述将贝宁顿的目的打破,用自传性的语言解构了这本为自己——德里达本人所作的传记。

Circumfession is an autobiographical color text written by Derrida. This article was included in Jacques·Derrida——A book written by Geoffrey·Bennington and Derrida. The full text contained of fifty-nine section, implied Derrid’s fifty-nine years. From the type setting, the two thirds words on the book is Bennington’s combing of Derrida’s life and thoughts, called Derrida Database, and the other one third words on the bottom of the book is Circumfession, written by himself. The two complements are footnote for each other. Bennington’s Database is aimed to realize systematic coordination and arrangement of Derrida’s thoughts and his various theories. However, Derrida broke Bennington’s aim with his obscure words and diverging narration, deconstructed this autobiography by autobiographical words, which written for himself.
