This paper makes a detailed analysis of the narrative strategy, style and language features of the Tales of Hulan River. It tries to outline the organic connection between the emotional flow of the novel and the text’s structure, and then explains the uniqueness of Xiao Hong’s lyrical novels from the perspective of stylistic innovation.
