本文探讨尼采哲学思想对美国当代作家菲利普·罗斯的影响,阐释《萨巴斯戏院》中尼采悲剧的再想象与弗洛伊德和克里斯蒂娃忧郁心理学理论的关联,运用哲学理论分析主人公对死亡和伤痛忧郁心理的升华和超越,揭示罗斯对于小说人物忧郁症的创新阐释与美国的表演哲学、济慈和叶芝的诗歌之间的互文关联。
This article explores Friedrich Nietzsche’s influence on Philip Roth and reveals how Roth’s reimagining of Nietzschean tragedy in Sabbath’s Theater is also connected to the psychoanalytic theories of mourning developed by Sigmund Freud and Julia Kristeva.Roth’s innovative reinterpretation of melancholia is further shown to contain wide-ranging intertextual relationships to American philosophies of Theatricality and the poetry of W.B.Yeats.
