Breeding and Utilization of Indica Hybrid Rice Fengyou Simiao with High Yield and Soft, Aromatic Grain Quality

粤丰A系用IR58025B和协青早B的杂交后代与珍汕97A回交转育而成的优质软香型籼稻不育系,其不育性指标达国家规定标准。用粤丰A与恢复系广恢998配组而成的丰优丝苗,是一个高产稳产、米质软香滑、抗稻瘟病、适应性广的杂交籼稻新组合,于2003年2月通过广东省农作物品种审定。

Yuefeng A is a new WAtype indica soft and aromatic CMS line with stable male sterility, slender grain shape and good cooking quality. Its maintainer line is developed from the cross of two maintainer lines IR58025B and Xieqingzao B, and Zhenshan 97A is used as male sterile cytoplasm source. Fengyou Simiao (Yuefeng A/Guanghui 998) is a newlydeveloped indica hybrid rice combination with good cooking quality, high and stable yield, blast resistance and wide adaptability. It was registered by Guangdong Crops Variety Approval Committee in February, 2003.
