Applications like data transformation and data integration will need to update the XML documents.but the existing query languages don't support that.This paper presents an updateable query language named UXQL,which has unified data model.It can query and update the documents of many heterogeneous data sources,whose structure is simple to realize and optimize .The paper presents UXQL's grammar and language components along with realization and an example of application.
