当年姚文元评《海瑞罢官》的文章以及"清官"问题"讨论,是以学术讨论之名,行政治斗争之实,一些参与讨论的知识分子包括笔者受到政治迫害。现在对当年的讨论进行必要的、深刻的回顾与反思。

Although the article on the Peking opera The Dismissal of Hai Rui written by Yao Wenyuan and the discussions of upright officials at that time took the form of academic discussion, it was a real political struggle.
