以评奖促推广——美英公共图书馆创办图画书奖的经验和启示

美国的凯迪克奖和英国的凯特·格林纳威奖是国际图画书界非常权威的两个奖项,其创办有着共同的经验:由本国的公共图书馆系统主导创办;有专业的儿童图书馆馆员队伍;十分重视奖项的宣传和推广。我国公共图书馆应注重在图画书奖的创办和评选上积极发挥作用;加强对儿童图书馆员队伍的建设;此外还应加大宣传力度。

The Randolph Caldecott Medal in the United States and the Kate Greenaway Medal in England are two very authoritative picture book awards in the international picture book world. They have common experiences:they are established dominantly by the public library system;they have professional Children's librarian team; and they attach great importance to the publicity and promotion of the award. Public libraries in our country should play an active role in the founding and appraising process of the picture book award; they should strengthen the construction of the children librarian ranks; and they should increase publicity efforts.
