上古汉语中,介词很少,现代汉语中的介词多是由动词虚化而来.介词的增多和介宾短语的位置反映了人们的认知倾向.

There are a few prepositions in ancient Chinese. Most of the prepositions in contemporary Chinese originate from emptied verbs. The growth of prepositions and the positions of the the phrases of prepositions reflect the tendency of the cognition of people.
