On the cultural conflicts in teaching Chinese to international stude nts

本文分析了在对外汉语教学中遇到的典型文化冲突类型，包括价值观念冲突、新生语言冲突、文化忌讳冲突以及语言和生活习惯冲突。提出了克服冲突的两种方法：1、培养对目的语文化的兴趣；2、寻求文化共同点避免文化冲突。

This paper analyzes the types of cultural conflicts in teaching Chinese to international students, including the conflict of value, the conflict of newborn language, the conflict of cultural taboos, and the conflict of language expressions and living customs, then puts forward two ways to overcome the conflicts: to forster learners’ interest in the culture of the target language countries and to seek for common grounds in two cultures to avoid the conflicts.
