我们都知道,威士忌讲究'桶'的艺术。大家在市面上常见的威士忌大多使用波本桶或雪利桶,但近十年来,不少酒厂另辟蹊径,开始玩起风味桶(Wood Finish),譬如苏玳酒桶、霞多丽桶、波特酒桶、白兰地桶、朗姆酒桶等,百花次第开放,颇为多彩。在这新风味当中,甚至还招摇起一些简直天马行空的组合—鲱鱼桶陈威士忌。
It’s said that the cask maturation is responsible for 50% to 80% of the Whisky’s flavours, so that more and more distilleries not only attach importance to the length of time that whisky matures,but also to the type of the cask which is more crucial. Recent years, they have try to use some unusual caskes finishes and has brought many surprises.
