试论萍乡煤矿与萍浏醴起义的关系

On the Relationship between Pingxiang Coal Mine and Ping-Liu-Li Uprising

从1898年创办之日起,萍乡煤矿在自身的发展过程中,积极介入萍乡地方事务。20世纪初,湘赣边界多次爆发水旱灾害,萍乡煤矿积极参与赈灾事务,缓解了灾情,有利于延缓起义的爆发。在会党势力的活动下,萍乡煤矿的工人成为萍浏醴起义的主要力量之一。萍浏醴起义爆发后,萍乡煤矿利用铁路与电报局等近代设施在镇压起义、维护清政府的统治方面发挥了重要作用。

Since it was founded in 1898, Pingxiang Coal Mine has been developed and actively involved in the local affairs. In the early part of 20 th century, floods and droughts repeatedly broke out on the boundary of Hunan and Jiangxi. Pingxiang Coal Mine participated in relieving matters, easing the situation, which delayed the outbreak of the likely uprisings. Encouraged by the societies' activities, the coal miners became one of the major forces of Ping-Liu-Li Uprising. After the outbreak of the uprising, Pingxiang Coal Mine played an important role in the suppression of the uprising by utilizing the railway and telegraph office, which helped the maintenance of the rule of Qing government.
